How do I sign up?
Text any message to (604) 229-6580 from the US or Canada. We'll reply with a one-time onboarding link asking for your name, training goal, and units. After you submit the form, you can start logging sets immediately.
What channels does TXTrep work on?
Plain SMS works everywhere. If your phone supports iMessage (Apple), the thread upgrades automatically. We also support WhatsApp and RCS for users on those platforms — same number, same coach, no setup.
What kind of shorthand can I use?
The parser handles the common formats: WxR (185x5), WxRxS (185x5x3), W/R/S (185/12/1), W @ R (185 @ 5), and exercise + numbers in any order. Bodyweight lifts use bw (e.g., pullups bw x8). Multiple sets at varied reps: bench 10,8,6 @ 135.
If something is ambiguous, we'll ask one short clarifying question rather than guess wrong.
Can I save my own exercise nicknames?
Yes. The first time you log an unfamiliar name (say, "incline db"), we'll ask which exercise you mean and remember the alias for next time. You can also text new exercise: my-name to register one explicitly.
How do I undo or fix a logged set?
Within 5 minutes of logging, text undo to remove it. To correct a weight, text fix that to 145 (or whatever the right value is). Both work in plain English — no commands to memorize.
How do I see my history?

Is my data private?
Your number, message logs, and workout history are stored only as needed to operate the coach and to satisfy SMS-carrier compliance audits. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing. Subprocessors (Twilio, Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase, Render, Sentry) are listed in the Privacy Policy.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Text export my data at any time. We'll email a JSON bundle of every set you've logged plus account metadata. Download links expire after 24 hours and are single-use.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Text delete my account followed by DELETE CONFIRM (we ask for the confirmation step to prevent accidents). All workout data, account records, and message logs are permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., consent records for TCPA compliance).
What if I want to keep the account but wipe my workouts?
Text reset my history followed by RESET CONFIRM. That cascade-removes your workout logs and active session but keeps your account, profile, and personal exercise aliases. Useful if you're starting a new training block and want a clean slate.
How do I stop receiving messages?
Reply STOP to any TXTrep message. This is a carrier-level opt-out — your number is suppressed across our entire system, and we won't message you again unless you explicitly text START to opt back in. STOP also cancels billing immediately.
How does TXTrep handle injuries?
If you mention an injury, we stop offering loading suggestions and recommend you consult a healthcare provider. There's a 7-day cooldown on coaching prompts after an injury keyword. TXTrep is not medical advice — see our Terms of Service.
Does TXTrep work outside the US and Canada?
For now, the operating number is US/Canada only. International support depends on per-country SMS-carrier registration; we'll announce expansion as it ships. WhatsApp / RCS routing in other regions is on the roadmap.
